„Aaron ví, že se rádi díváme, jak se bohatí perou.“ Joel Schumacher Aaron Spelling byl legendární americký filmový a televizní producent, scenárista a také občasný herec. Téměř čtyřicet let kraloval americké televizi se zábavnými pořady, dramatickou tvorbou, mýdlovými operami a mnoha dalšími seriály a filmy. - Po smrti Prue (Shannen Doherty) měl seriál původně končit, ale výkonný producent Aaron Spelling uspořádal v červnu 2001 několik konkurzů na roli nevlastní sestry Paige. Herečky, jejichž obsazení tvůrci zvažovali, byly Jennifer Love Hewitt, Mary-Louise Parker, Sarah Joy Brown, Tiffani Thiessen, Soleil Moon Frye, Susan Ward a Eliza Dushku. Sissy Spacek dostala necelých 300 000 amerických dolárov, Anne Bancroft dostala tretinu svojho bežného honoráru, režisér Tom Moore dostal minimálnu režisérsku gážu, ktorá sa pohybovala okolo 100 000 dolárov a producenti Alan Greisman a Aaron Spelling sa vzdali svojich honorárov s tým, že si vyplatia odmeny v prípade úspechu.
